Overview
The Hotel Schweizerhof is located right in the very heart of Zermatt's main pedestrian high street and just five minutes' walk from the train station. This 4-star superior hotel is included in the Small Luxury Hotels of the World collection of fine properties and also one of the Michel Reybier Hospitality group's hotels. It offers 95 rooms of which 24 are suites.
The Schweizerhof kitchen takes centre stage with its show kitchen serving dishes from the BBQ grill and a stone oven. La Muña (only open in winter) tickles the taste buds with ultra-fresh Japanese-Peruvian fusion cuisine, while the Cheese Factory is all about Swiss cheese specialties. The Myoko brings authentic Japanese cuisine from the Land of the Rising Sun straight to Zermatt. Delicious drinks and cocktails can be enjoyed at the bar while cigars, fine wines and spirits delight at Le Fumoir.
The original hotel opened in 1982 but after joining the Michel Reybier group in 2018 it underwent an 8 month, top to toe renovation so that now it is the most contemporary and stylish option available in Zermatt.
Since joining the Michel Reybier Hospitality group, the Hotel Schweizerhof has been transformed into a modern and stylish luxury hotel.
