Ski Chalets in Espace Killy

Almost ski 300 chalets in the Val d'Isere-Tignes area (formerly known as the Espace Killy) which can be booked either catered or self-catered. The combined ski area is one of the best interlinked ski domains of the entire Alps with a wide range of modern, highspeed lifts serving an extensive and varied high altitude ski area suitable for all standards of skier and boarder.

The ski area which is shared between the resorts of Tignes Val Claret, Tignes Le Lac, Tignes Les Boisses, Tignes Les Brevieres and Val d'Isere were collectively known as the Espace Killy for decades and paid homage to the legendary ski racer called Jean Claude Killy who grew up in the area. Killy won the triple crown at the 1968 Grenoble Olympics but his name was dropped from marketing material around 2018 when it was decided that a younger audience would not be familiar with him. Officially the area is now known as Val d'Isere-Tignes but top anyone over 40 it is often referred to as the Espace Killy!

In total there are over 30,000 tourist beds in the resort of Val d'Isere mainly found in smaller self catering apartments and hotels. Our chalet portfolio below accounts for almost 10% of the total beds and offers chalets and larger apartments from more than 25 separate chalet companies.

The separate resorts of Tignes are smaller and together offer a total of 8,000 tourist beds of which approximately 20% are featured in our chalet collection.

The resort town of Val d'Isere and two main resort towns of Tignes sit at an altitude of over 1,850 metres and access skiing that ascends well over 3,000 metres. With over 300km of pisted runs and huge areas of off-piste terrain the skiing of this region is considered by many as the best in the world.

The region has always been our most popular (ever since we started back in 1992) and there is a huge selection of chalets (both catered and self-catered to choose from). Those in Val d'Isere tend to be the most expensive and those in the lower resort of Tignes Les Brevieres (now connected to the main ski area with high speed modern gondola) tend to be the cheapest. However, there are some cheaper chalets in Val d'Isere and also some high-end luxury propositions in Tignes Les Brevieres.
