Meribel Les Allues resort guide - a general overview
Méribel Les Allues is the original village of the Méribel valley and very much its heart and soul. Located 7km below Méribel Centre, it offers a quieter, more traditional base while remaining well connected to the main resort.
The village has a charming centre with several long-established restaurants, most of which also have their own bars. Méribel Les Allues is linked to the main lift hub at Chaudanne via the Olympe gondola, which climbs the valley floor in around 15 minutes.
From Chaudanne, skiers have easy access to the entire Three Valleys ski area. The Saulire Express provides a fast route to the Saulire summit, while the Plan de l’Homme chairlift and Tougnète gondola offer efficient links towards Val Thorens and St Martin de Belleville. Thanks to the range of lift options, queues at Chaudanne are now rare, even during busier periods.

La Chaumière is a popular choice for high-quality cooking and is particularly well known for its excellent value lunchtime menus. La Tsaretta, located near the village church, is a long-standing favourite offering friendly service and an international menu with influences from French, British and Thai cuisine. Meribel Les Allues Apres Ski
While Méribel Centre offers a wide choice of lively après-ski bars, including the well-known Folie Douce, Méribel Les Allues itself has a quieter après-ski scene. The local bar at La Tsaretta is a popular place to enjoy a relaxed drink after skiing and sample the local Mutzig beer.
