Ski Resorts for Off-Piste Skiing

Plagne Villages (and nearby Plagne Soleil) is one of the smallest of the Plagne ski resorts. It is very much aimed at family skiing on a budget yet gives unrivalled ski access with nearly all the accommodation being ski in ski out. It is also one of the highest ski resorts in the Alps at an altit...

Developed in the early 1990s for the Albertville Winter Olympics, La Tania has grown into a beloved ski resort known for its family-friendly atmosphere, modern amenities, and excellent ski-in/ski-out accommodation. The resort's strategic location in the heart of the Three Valleys, the largest int...

Arc 1600 is the original resort of the area and is situated at the top of the funicular railway that snakes up the mountain from Bourg St Maurice, the rail head town in the valley below. Arc 1800 is the main resort of the Les Arcs region and has most to offer with regards nightlife, resort atmosphere, shops, bars, amenities etc. It also has a great central position within the Les Arcs ski area giving swift and easy access to one of the World's largest ski areas - the Paradiski re...

Situated just below the modern resorts of Plan Peisey and Vallandry it is linked by a bucket lift which gives reliable, if rather slow, access to the main...

Linked into the impressive Les Arcs ski area, Plan Peisey (which is confusingly sometimes called Peisey Vallandry) and neighbouring Vallandry are situated very close to the new Vanoise Express cable car that links to Montchavin of the La Plagne ski area, thereby creating the world's third largest...

Villaroger is the lowest of the ski villages that make up the Les Arcs ski area and it is also the most secluded of the accommodation centres. However, therein exists its charm. The village is pretty much untouched by commercial tourism and retains much of the original charm of the old alpine vil...
