Hotel Cristal

" The hotel is in a good location for everything. It has a nice bar and good bedrooms and bathrooms. Grimentz is a gem although some may find it too quiet. We had a riot at the après ski bar on the slope near to the resort centre but it was of our making. The Swiss looked on impassively but the owner was excited and v friendly. It could be a great resort if this bar starts hopping. Grimentz was a top spot. The lockers at the lift station are an excellent idea and worked brilliantly for our family. There is a superb set up for skiing and a great ski area (and we didn't even get over to Zinal). They need a quicker chair to the left hand side of the upper area. The cuisine was OK in the hotel but not great and the mountain restaurant food was a disappointment. We went down to the pizzeria in the village for lunch which was OK. We value the personal contact that Alpine Answers gives. Also the insider knowledge of holidays they have and that they don't just try to sell anything that is available. Small business knowledge always an advantage over the big guns. "

" We had a lot of fun. Grimentz was quiet, pretty and friendly. Transfers to/from airport worked perfectly. Hotel was predictably clean, rooms quite small but all fine. Great location near the lift. Food was good if not hugely plentiful at breakfast. Snow was fairly compacted but piste skiing was well-groomed and still good. With fresh snow it would be amazing. Zinal was easy to get to and again, very picturesque. Amazing views all round. Ski hire easy and efficient. A very positive experience all round - thanks for your help. "

" Friendly hotel with very good helpful and friendly staff. Great tea every day after skiing. Grimentz was a lovely village with plenty of Swiss character - location of the hotel was excellent and it was very easy to get to the slopes either by a short walk or shuttle bus. Thank you for introducing us to a fantastic and unspoilt ski area. We shall certainly go back another time. "
