Hotel Arena Lodge

" We all thought it was an excellent weekend destination. The Arena was ideal for this kind of thing. The location of the Arena can't be beat, its restaurant is fine and the nightclub OK. A couple of random other points: 1. The triple would be quite a squeeze for 3, especially 3 men unless they were early 20's boarders - the same is probably true of the twin bunks, but as long as people know what they are getting most people away purely for a weekend should be fine. 2. The design rooms are worth the extra money for space, and as the beds are twins could be shared on a same sex basis. 3. Local restaurants that are recommended are Startgels (on the mountain) and Chesa (in town with local cuisine). 4. Boarders would probably find Laax a more convenient base as most of the terrain parks are more easily accessed from there (and it has a bigger après scene). 5. The terrain suits beginners to good intermediates, though there is not a huge amount of real challenge (which probably suits a corporate weekend); the freeride sections are fun though. 6. Transport was very efficient, which is very Swiss. The bus ride back on Sunday took two and a quarter hours with the traffic from Davos, Lenzerheide etc. on the roads, so best to leave sufficient time. "
