Park Hotel

The Park Hotel in Voss Resort is a veritable 'sleeper'. It is rather unassuming from the exterior having been built in the early 1960's utilitarian modern style. However, there is plenty of magic which happens on the inside. The hotel is welcoming and comfortable with an atmospheric main bar and lounge area. Everywhere you turn there are helpful, friendly staff.

The world-famous wine collection which is haphazardly arranged in the hotel's cellars was originally started in 1979 by the former owner and wine enthusiast, Jan Bruse Andersen. Today the collection is presided over by Francesco Marzola, the hotel's wine director, and holds over 47,000 bottles and more than 7,000 different labels. It has won several global awards for its 'wine by the glass selection' so if a bottle of Le Pin is too much of a stretch you can perhaps buy it by the glass.

To accompany the fantastic wine list is a more than decent Elysée Restaurant with high quality culinary offering. The menu changes frequently according to the seasons and the availability of local produce, and features local Norwegian delicacies as well as international dishes.

The rooms are comfortable without being luxurious and many have wonderful lake views.
