Hotel Du Bourg

The Hotel du Bourg has the prime location on Valmorel's pedestrian main street in the centre of the resort and opposite the tourist office. The nearest lift is only 100 metres away and all the shops, bars and restaurants of this great family resort are on your doorstep. For a purpose built largely ski-in ski-out resort Valmorel is very pleasing on the eye and the hotel's exterior reflects the traditional Savoie architectural vernacular.

The hotel lounge bar is as it should be - the focal point of the hotel. With fireplace and cosy 'English' style decor it is a welcoming venue for a warming 'vin chaud' or pre-dinner drink. After dinner there are often events put on in the bar such as live music, beer tastings (and hot chocolate tastings for children) and is a lively place to watch the 6 Nations rugby tournament. Please note that the bar is open to non-residents.

There are 49 bedrooms in a variety of sizes. Standard, Confort, Family and Family duplex rooms are all available offering flexible sleeping arrangements. All come with en-suite bathroom, hairdryer and LCD TV. The superior rooms also come with Wi-Fi and most also have balconies with view of the mountains or the village.

For families there is a professional babysitting service that can be booked as an 'extra'. Children from 6 months to 3 years old are looked after day or night while you enjoy some quality time with a loved one. Whether you choose to spend that time skiing on the mountain or eating out for a romantic dinner is up to you.

The main lifts and ski slopes are less than 5 minutes' walk and the ski rental shops, boutique shops, cinema and restaurants are all within very easy striking distance. The children's Piou Piou club which is situated very close to the hotel is run by the ESF and offers first rate childcare for children aged 18 months to 6 years old. They offer fun outside play and English speaking ski instruction

Guests can pay extra for lunch or dinner and choose from one of 5 local restaurants including a pizzeria, Savoie menus and French fine dining. These are either located in the same building as the hotel or in the pedestrian main street no more than 30 metres from the hotel. Prices for lunch are approximately 25 euros (two courses) and dinner 30 euros per person (3 courses).
