The Kristiania is an independently owned, art-filled house in Lech am Arlberg, set slightly above the village. Founded by Olympic champion Othmar Schneider and shaped today by his daughter Gertrud, it feels more like a private Alpine home than a conventional resort hotel: It is intimate, eclectic, discreet and deeply personal. In short: a private house, for guests who value the personal over the predictable.

Guests arrive into a boutique hotel that feels personal, layered, and alive. They are expected, not processed. Looked after with instinct, not procedure. The stay can be shaped around skiing, food, art, family time, celebration or quiet retreat, but the feeling remains the same - privacy, warmth, attention and the sense that someone noticed what matters.

The personalised service and experiences remain a key part of the Kristiania's identity. Concierge, cinema under the stars, picnic in the snow, reading butler, spa treatments, babysitting. There is a plan to open two outdoor hot tubs (for adults, pre-book slot) and we are awaiting further details in the autumn.
