Ski Hire in Schladming
There are several different ski hire shops in schladming ranging from good value options with the likes of Ski Republic, Skimium and Intersport through to smaller independent stores.
You can't go far in Schladming without encountering the name, Tritscher. They are one of the resorts big family names and they have a large family business which encompasses the Tritscher Ski School, clothing shops, accommodation apartments and four well located ski hire outlets.
Franz Tritscher was a local hero as an Austrian ski team member at the end of the 1950's. He went on to coach the Canadian team in the 1960's and then set up the first ski school in the Schladming area in 1962. He did much to promote the resort as a winter tourism and ski destination. His son, Michael, was also an Austrian team member, competing in the World Cup seasons between 1987 and 1998 as a slalom specialist. Together with his brothers, Peter and Reinhold, the three Tritscher brothers now run the family businesses in Schladming.
