Chalet Zen

Chalet Zen in Zermatt is a charming three floor property located just one minute walk from the Klein Matterhorn main lift station. The location makes it about as 'ski in ski out' as it is possible to be in Zermatt, yet the resort centre is still a very manageable 7 minutes' walk away. The property is accessed up a flight of steps from street level so is not recommended for very young children or the elderly. However, for anyone else this chalet is delightful.

The chalet offers ample space for 8 - 10 guests with two separate sitting rooms, three main en-suite guest bedrooms and a family suite, a private garden and terrace space with magnificent south facing views of the iconic Matterhorn Mountain. The terrace has plenty of relaxation space as well as a sunken hot tub and a sauna which has been cleverly converted from an old gondola cabin.

The Chalet Zen is very traditional and authentic with comfortable sofas, art on the walls and lovely homely touches. In this day of modern holiday let type properties this property is a breath of fresh air. However, despite the traditional feel and marble bathrooms the chalet is equipped with Smart Apple TV, Sonos music system and Wi-Fi.

Three of the bedrooms have south facing balconies with Matterhorn view. Both sitting rooms have fireplaces, there is a modern kitchen, bar area, desk area and well-stocked library of books, DVDs and games to suit all ages.

With a charming, professional English manager/host (who lives in Zermatt as a permanent resident), a dedicated housekeeping team and professional chef, Chalet Zen combines supreme comfort and privacy with the highest quality of service.

We feature the chalet with daily continental breakfast included. However, it can be booked with the services of a chef and hostess to provide daily afternoon teas and 6 x dinners with complimentary wines. The additional cost for this is 16,000 CHF for the week for 8 guests (extra cost for additional guests).
