This is a true character chalet with much charm and atmosphere.

Overview

Ideal for a large group of friends or a couple of families, Chalet Rostaing is located on a quiet road in the rustic hamlet of La Villette which is just a few minutes' drive from the main lifts of Vaujany. This old alpine farmhouse, created largely from wood and grey mountain stone, has been immaculately renovated to ensure that the former character and charm has been retained.

The operator will provide a morning and afternoon driver service for all guests. However, it is possible to ski back within 200 metres of the chalet. Just be aware that the walk back to chalet, once you have taken your skis off, is up a hill.

Chalet Rostaing is run by a fantastic, independent chalet company that has been specialising in Vaujany for more than 20 years. As the only British tour operator in Vaujany, they pride themselves on providing their guests with excellent customer service and a high standard of catered chalet food.

Alpine Answers say:

Rostaing is a comfortable chalet with lots of charm. The operator look after their guest exceptionally well and you certainly won't be disappointed with the food and wine.

Client Comments

" Staff were very friendly and helpful with a nothing is too much trouble attitude. This was a last minute booking but from the booking arrangements onwards the whole trip turned out to be a highly enjoyable and one exceeding expectations. The chalet was very comfortable with very good hosts and excellent food and transport arrangements available. I used Alpine Answers as options / availability were severely limited due to the late booking but the AA website was user friendly and the initial phone enquiry / contact made was met with a very helpful sales person. "

Mr I S

" The chalet itself was very quaint. All the rooms were well presented, although I think some of the bathrooms could do with a face lift. The living space was very comfortable and considered. There was a sitting room with log burner and a small dining area with a fridge and tea and coffee facilities, even with 15 of us it still felt spacious. The boot room had a washing machine and tumble dryer, which was very handy. We also loved the main dining area as it had a lovely big wooden table that we could all sit around. The staff were all fantastic. Our chalet staff, Tash and Luke were brilliant. Tash was very friendly and helpful. However, most of my praise has to go to Luke. In all my years skiing, staying in very nice hotels and chalets, I can honestly say Luke's food was the best I have ever had. We couldn't have been looked after better! "
