Chalet La Maison Du Rocher
A really comfortable chalet with large sitting room.
Overview
Chalet Maison du Rocher in Val d'Isere dates back to the 1620s so is one of Val d'Isere's old timers in the chalet market. The chalet is located in the Le Cret a residential part of the town about a 12 minute walk into the centre of the resort.
The chalet is part of an old farmhouse and is totally insulated from the sound of passing traffic or people. All five of the en-suite bedrooms have been renovated to give you that extra comfort when it comes to sleeping but if you did want to truly relax before bed then there is a sauna available for you to relax in.
Please note that the use of the sauna and hot tub is at your own risk (and that of your party members). The chalet company cannot accept responsibility for accidents/injuries that occur during the use of the sauna. Children must be supervised when using the sauna.
Getting to the lifts in the morning could not be easier as the local bus stop is just a short walk away (150 metres). The local bus system is the best we have experienced in the Alps and a bus will pass by every 5 minutes or so.

This is one of the properties run by a highly regarded and respected Val d'Isere specialist chalet company. Having been in the resort for many years their product has been honed over time - travel to and from resort is a slick operation, chalets are meticulously clean, staff are motivated (one of the directors lives in resort during the winter months) and their chalet food invariably delicious. Properties run by this company are always highly recommended by Alpine Answers. This particular chalet has bags of atmosphere and is a wonderfully cosy chalet to be in when the snow is tipping down outside.
