Overview
Chalet Ecureuil sits at the entrance to the village of Courchevel Moriond (1650). The free and frequent resort bus stops across the road from the chalet and takes just 4 minutes to reach the main gondola in Courchevel Moriond (1650). There is also an escalator 450 metres from the chalet that connects the lower half of Courchevel Moriond to the upper high street and main lifts, making access to skiing and nightlife straightforward.
This lovely timber and wood clad property has a great homely feel, with its open plan living/dining room with cosy fireplace. The chalet is furnished in authentic Savoyard style creating an attractive rustic appearance. All bedrooms are en-suite, making this the perfect chalet for groups or families looking to escape the expensive trappings of Courchevel 1850.
We consider Courchevel Moriond the best part of the Courchevel valley, with its wide uncrowded slopes and sunny snowsure runs. The nursery slopes at the foot of the Moriond slopes have some fantastic hotels with wonderful après ski bars and large terraces with outdoor fire pits perfect for long lunches. Those looking for a little more excitement can head to the bubble bar for après ski and onto the Funky Fox to dance late into the night.
One can debate whether the location is a negative. However, this chalet is comfortable and the food and service are more than reliable. All things considered the Chalet Ecureuil gets the thumbs up from us.
