Half term ski chalets available February 2022

Half term ski chalets February 2022

| | Ski Chalets

We have seen unprecedented high levels of advance bookings for next winter 2021-2022. This is especially the case for family ski holidays to be taken during the two half term weeks of February 2022. Rolled-over bookings from last winter plus high demand to book early for next winter has meant much of the ski chalet stock in the Alps (both catered and self-catered) is already booked for the key school holiday weeks of February 2022. However, there are plenty of great family ski chalets that remain available to book. We look at some of our favourites below which appear in no particular order.

Ski chalets available for week starting 12th/13th February 2022

Chalet Grand Sapin

Sleeps 11 – 13. Morzine

Per person price = £1,250 (catered but excluding travel)

With a superb location near the centre of resort and just 3 minutes’ walk to either of the main lifts this is the perfect family ski chalet. Good quality of in-resort service, a high level of chalet cooking and all for a reasonable price. Morzine with a short one hour transfer from Geneva (or 8 hours’ drive from Calais) is a hugely popular family ski resort with perfect ski terrain for intermediate skiers and snow-boarders.

Chalet Pierre

Sleeps 15 – 16. Meribel

Per person price = £2,080 (catered but excluding travel)

Located next to the Morel chairlift in Meribel 1600 this very comfortable chalet provides a great 4 star experience in a larger property. Outdoor hot tub with a view, in-resort minibus service and good standard of chalet catering.

Chalet Ipaka

Sleeps 6. Avoriaz

Perfect for one large family group and offering ski in ski out convenience in one of the best family ski resorts of the Alps.

Chalet Maldeghem

Chalet Idaho

We love Courchevel Le Praz for its authentic village charm, great restaurants, super easy access to and from the skiing of the Three Valleys and resort value.

Chalet Ferme du Lac Vert

Sleeps 24 – 30. Morzine

Per person price = £1,374 (catered but excluding travel)

This is another chalet that should have, by all rights, been booked months ago. Somehow or other the Ferme du Lac Vert is currently available to book for the week starting 20th February 2022. This charming property comes with driver service, sauna, hot tub, gourmet cooking and a thoroughly unique alpine experience.

Chalet Cedre Blanc

Sleeps 12. Meribel

Per person price = £2,008 (catered and includes flights and transfers)

Newly added back into our portfolio this popular chalet will not remain available for long. With flights from the UK, airport transfers and chalet catering included in the price this ATOL protected family ski holiday offers superb value for money.

Chalet Face

Sleeps 6. Val d’Isere

Per person price = £2,033 (catered and includes flights and transfers)

The week starting 20th February 2022 is one of the few remaining weeks left available for next winter. Sleeping 6 guests this is the perfect size for one large family. Val d’Isere offers world class skiing for all standards and has one of the best nursery slope areas in the world. Top class ski schools, a great selection of on-mountain restaurants – it’s no wonder Val d’Isere is our most popular ski resort each winter.

Our portfolio of chalet properties normally numbers anywhere between 950 and 1,000 chalet properties in the Alps. Approximately two thirds of this portfolio has already been booked for February 2022. However, there are still way over 300 chalet properties available to book for either the week starting 12th/13th February, or the following week. So, there is no need to press the panic button just yet – we will have a suitable chalet property for you!

Simon Hoskyns

I completed my 1st winter ski season as a ski bum after leaving school. Travelling out to Sauze d'Oulx, Italy, (not knowing one ski resort from another) and with just a basic Italian phrase book in my rucksack I found a job in a hotel as a pot washer. However, I was also trained as a barista (before anyone knew what they were) which was enormous fun. After graduating from university I headed back to the Alps for a 2nd season. I was a handyman for Bladon Lines in Meribel, looking after their chalets and also those of sister company, Ski West. This was the best ski resort job ever. The 2nd season was followed by three fun but ultimately unrewarding years in a London advertising agency before I returned to the Alps yet again. A season for the Ski Club of Great Britain in St Anton was followed by another season working for Powder Byrne in Flims and Klosters, Switzerland. Returning to London I joined the fledgling Alpine Answers in 1995, becoming partner in 1997.
