Chalet Altesse in Zermatt is a modern development in the beautiful Winkelmatten area of resort. The location offers true ski in ski out convenience and also fantastic views of the iconic Matterhorn Mountain. From the chalet it is a short easy ski to the Klein Matterhorn cable car station and the Gornergratbahn funicular railway (at the Findelbach station) is also close by. At the end of the day (snow conditions permitting) you can return from the main Zermatt ski area and ski back to the chalet's front door. Should you wish to access the resort centre the free bus service stops just three minutes' walk from the Chalet Altesse building.

There are four luxury five star apartments in the building (one per floor) and each has been finished in a modern alpine style. Large windows allow plenty of light into the apartments and also frame lovely views of the Matterhorn Mountain and the resort centre. On the lowest floor of the building is a shared spa centre with Finnish sauna, steam room and relaxation area. There is also a ski and boot room with heaters and a lift which accesses each of the apartments.

The owners of Chalet Altesse, Max and Greti, also own the famous Zum See restaurant. Should you wish for a delivery direct to your apartment from the kitchens of this much loved eaterie this can be arranged for you.

The Ground Floor apartment offers 155 square metres of space. It is perfect for families with small children who love to play outside. The terrace and garden area are perfect for snowman building or impromptu snowball fights. While adults relax on the comfortable sofas in the warmth of the sitting room they can keep an eye on the children playing outside. Once the longer sunny days of spring arrive a lunch on the terrace, or a nap in the sun, is priceless.

The children's playground in Winkelmatten is only a 5 minute walk away. The winter stables are home to the friends of 'Wolli', the black-nosed sheep. The Matterhorn Glacier Paradise (recommended ski rental shop) and Stoked Ski School pick up location can be reached within a 7 minutes' walk, or by bus within 3 minutes.
