British run ski school with an excellent reputation for quality and customer satisfaction. Adult and children's lessons, both private and groups. Maximum of 6 people per group lesson. They cater for all levels of juniors and adults with a range of course options from beginner to very advanced and also offer off-piste introduction courses. Private family courses and private groups are a popular option. Instructors are highly educated British instructors (or fluent in English) with vast experience from the ski industry. They teach based on Accelerated Learning and Nobel prize winning research. You will find that learning with a BASS instructor is easy, and that fun is inevitable. Mountain Masters

New Generation (Val d'Isere)

New Generation is a British run ski and snowboard school based in Val d'Isere as well as 17 other resorts across the Alps. New Generation enjoys an excellent reputation amongst the International ski community and was voted 'Favourite Ski School' in the Snowvole Awards. The school offers a full range of lessons from groups for beginners and intermediates through to guided off piste adventures and everything in between. At peak periods they run children's lessons in the morning with small groups and a focus on fun. New Gen have been coaching in the Alps since 1998 and have been very much at the forefront of the ski lesson revolution. All lessons are in English and all groups are small. New Gen have put the fun back into learning and improving. Our advice is to book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Oxygene (Val d'Isere)

Oxygene is one of France's longest standing and most popular ski schools. They offer a dedicated and motivated team eager to bring you not only fun and excitement on the mountain, but also a thorough and professional learning experience. From timid beginners to powder hounds, personal tuition or in a small group they aim to surpass your expectations. They are chosen for their teaching, motivational and communication skills rather than just their skiing ability (which goes without saying). Oxygene offers the friendliness of a small team with the flexibility of a much larger one. We recommend Oxygene, especially for children and beginners. Children Groups (age 3-12): Little ones start in the snow garden or on a designated beginner area and progress into the main ski area. Their friendly and experienced instructors provide the best learning environment for your little ones. Groups are kept small so your children have the best environment in which to make progress. Choose between mornings, full days or afternoons. Pro Riders (age 12+): Exciting lessons for competent skiers in this age range looking to venture into freestyle, race technique and more. Adults Groups (age 13+): All levels from complete beginner to advanced intermediate. Groups are kept small to ensure you get great quality individual learning time within your group. Private Lessons: On a private basis Oxygene offers whatever you are looking for...skiing and snowboarding of course but also telemarking, ski-touring, off-piste and cross country. Snowboarding: Oxygene is well-known for their snowboard instruction. They run lessons for all abilities and will have you shredding in no time. Off-piste: Go out of bounds on Oxygene's renowned Steep and Deep course. Alternatively, set your own agenda with a private guide. Safety equipment included. Progression Ski School

At Progression Ski their team are all fully qualified and mainly British offering a comprehensive selection of lesson types (private, clinics and groups) to suit your needs. Within the team there are ex-national champions and team members, instructor trainers and the only British snowboard and telemark instructor in Val d'Isere/Tignes but best of all they are all very friendly, professional and passionate about teaching. For children Progression offers Private Lessons, Kids' Group Lessons or Teen Clinics. Kids learn in a different way to adults so their highly experienced instructors adjust the inputs and outcomes to suit. There is a big emphasis on safety and fun without making things too technical. The kids' group lessons run from Monday to Saturday from 9am until 1pm, with the option of a full day on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. They also run Teen Clinics during the school holidays. These run for 3 mornings or afternoons, depending on demand, and offer the chance to learn some new school tricks, simple off-piste and technique (but in a manner which is appropriate to teens.).
