Overview
The Coutettaz in Morzine is the oldest building in Morzine (dating back to 1771 and the reign of Louis XV) and is the perfect boutique hotel for family gatherings and groups of friends celebrating a big milestone. The property oozes charm and character having been lovingly restored over the last 30+ years by its English owners. Today the hotel pairs exquisite beauty with understated English charm and hospitality. The huge fireplace and cosy bar welcome guests whether they stay in the summer or winter.
The hotel is stunning, with its original stone walls and pristine white shutters. Guests will struggle to choose a bedroom as each has been meticulously styled to preserve its unique character - expect rustic romance, indulgent fabrics, original features and beautiful bathrooms. The 11-bedroom include a family suite of two adjoining rooms, Cottage One and Cottage Two and the Atelier bedrooms are located in a barn about a 30 second walk from the main hotel building.
The bar is open until 1am each night and the music collection is vast and varied! If the mood suits the sofas are pushed back and the dance floor is ready! Sometimes there is live music from local artists, and sometimes a bit of classical or jazz for a more relaxed evening. Your evenings begin with canapes and an aperitif before dinner.
But what's a hotel without its staff? The team at the Coutettaz are exceptional - trained to take incredible care of guests for every moment of their stay. From brilliant chefs who whip up heavenly breakfasts in their sleep, to the genuinely welcoming front-of-house staff offering personalised ski itinerary advice and more - the staff at this gem of a hotel quietly go out of their way to make every guest stay a truly memorable one.
