One of the very best - highly recommended.

Overview

Built in Meribel during the summer of 2001, Chalet Brioche in Meribel combines a wealth of carved wood with elegant furnishings and lots of personal decorative touches, which really make it feel like a home from home. Sun worshippers will appreciate the south-facing sun terrace and outdoor hot tub to massage away the aches and pains of the day. The traditional yet modern bedrooms are complemented by pristine white bathrooms, making Chalet Brioche a very inviting chalet for a week in the Alps.

For your convenience and comfort, the operator provides a boot fitting and ski hire service at the chalet. There is also a private minibus service to ensure an efficient and quick transfer to and from the piste throughout the day.

Client Comments

" To a man/woman the staff were excellent. Our chalet girl, Kim, was outstanding. She cooked delicious food, was friendly without being intrusive and generally looked after us very well. "

Mr C N-B

" The resort staff were very good. The Chalet host was friendly and knew his stuff. He also coped well with the difficulties caused by slightly erratic kitchen equipment - dishwasher & cooker. The ski guide Ben was considered excellent by those of our party who were of a level to appreciate the ski guiding. The chalet was homely with good furnishings both in the lounge and the bedrooms. As with many chalets there was not enough comfortable seats - another sofa instead of an ottoman would be better. Fitted sheets would have been better on the three single beds that had no fitted under sheets (room 1 - both beds, room 2 - 1 bed). Beds were comfortable. Dining area a little narrow. Bathrooms good. Jacuzzi too small - only for 4 people when the chalet sleeps 8-9. Needs to be at least a six person Jacuzzi - this was not obvious from the website. "

Mrs D C

" The staff were helpful, although contact with them was minimal except for drivers and chalet host. The drivers were exceptionally polite and helpful and willing to oblige. We have used this tour operator many times before and have always been pleased. However, the Chalet Brioche was terrible. The furniture in the bedrooms was 'illogical' and awkward - no drawer space or adequate places to hang ski gear whilst there were impractical chests which we couldn't store anything in. The bathroom towel rail in main bedroom was either freezing or scalding (my daughter hurt herself on it after a shower). The TV was far too small for number of guests (we were 9 plus a baby) and anyway it didn't work. The dining area extremely cramped - the children HAD to eat at a separate time as we never would have fit around the table - 9 was a real squeeze. Whilst our chalet girl was REALLY SWEET and cooked very nicely, she had no time for cleaning. "
