Apartment Danaides

The Apartment Danaides in the Le Legettaz area of Val d'Isere provides great value for money self-catered accommodation for a family ski holiday. The edge of the gentle slope which leads down to the main lifts and ski school meeting point is 200 metres away. Good skiers will be able to ski back to the chalet using a 'red' grade slope but less experienced skiers can use the free bus service from either the centre of resort or from the Rond Point des Pistes, where you will find Cocoricco's après ski bar.

With only 160 square metres of internal space the apartment only offers four small bedrooms but there are two separate living room areas which is always useful. The dining area has a set of bunk beds built into the wall and the separate TV room has two sets of bunks beds (sleeping up to 4 extra guests). There are 15 beds in total in the apartment but the maximum number of guests that can book Apartment Danaides is 12.

The decor is very much that of an old traditional alpine chalet so is not without considerable charm. Furthermore the views from the dining room and main sitting area up the unspoilt Manchet Valley are delightful. However, the small bedrooms and the 3 sets of extra bunk beds built into the dining room and TV room although offering flexible sleeping arrangements may not suit all parties.
