Overview

Chalet La Maison in Alpe d'Huez is the smallest of the new chalets (built 2009) in Le Village and is found at the apex of the two pistes running alongside the development. This chalet commands completely uninterrupted views over the snow towards Les Bergers from most of its windows. At ground floor level there is an indoor hot-tub, sauna and twin bedroom with en-suite facilities and access to the outside. The main entrance can be found on the first floor along with another en-suite twin and a beautiful, light living space of kitchen opening to dining area, to living area. On the second floor one twin bedroom and one double bedroom, both en-suite complete the chalet. This chalet offers a lot of privacy and has truly spectacular views.

" The tour operator in general - really good, airport collection & in resort all managed by Ben & Nat so great to have familiar faces & they were really lovely. In hindsight we should have booked ski hire with them too (for the kids) as they just took care of everything. The Chalet Maison - fantastic, best one of the group in that area as it's facing piste with great views. And great bedrooms and bathrooms, living area nice & hot tub room was superb & used daily. It was modern and clean and had all the facilities. It was a bit hot inside but luckily we could leave windows open etc! The food - great breakfast & dinners so really happy with it. Good balance of nice food & heathy & good desserts! Nice menu mix and Andy our host did really well with presentation etc. You could add more French theme into the menu but it really was lovely food and good quality. The Service of the staff - Andy our chalet host was really kind and looked after us very well. We were really pleased to have him. The flights - great on way out, bit busy on way back at Grenoble Airport but with a baby we got fast tracked so was ok. Used to flying with jet2 so all good. Understand the Londoners had good flights too wth BA. The transfers - the Manchester ones probably better as they had a little mini bus so a bit faster than the London coach. We had spare seats so could use seat belts on our car seat. The resort itself - fantastic and the chalet was in a great location, ski in ski out, but also good for shops and restaurants, and good to be far enough from Les Bergers where there was a big stage and music festival going on which was loud - whereas in the area we were it was quiet and good. Close to piste but we didn't hear the piste bashers. The holiday was AMAZING!! We had such a good time and it was by far the nicest chalet we've ever stayed in as a family. "
