Ski in ski out hotels

Ski in ski out hotels - the lovely Hotel Annapurna in Courchevel 1850

Ski in ski out hotels can be hard to find in the Alps. Luckily, however, we have over 100 hotels situated on, or right next to, the piste in a variety of popular ski resorts. So don't worry - you won't have to stagger in your ski boots or deal with busy bus shuttles any more. We can make the dream of walking out of your hotel's door, clipping into your skis and setting straight off onto the mountain a reality.

Most of the ski in ski out hotels we feature are naturally found in the high, snow sure, purpose built ski resorts of the French Alps. However, we also have some great ski in ski out hotels that offer guests unrivalled piste access in the lovely and traditional resorts of Obergurgl, Lech, Zurs & St Christoph in Austria; and ski in ski out hotels in Klosters, Switzerland, and Selva in Italy.

Ski in ski out hotels in France

Some of the most exclusive ski in ski out hotels in the Alps can be found in Courchevel 1850. Here hotels take piste access to a whole new level and make it that much easier to get from your bedroom to the slopes. At the Hotel La Sivoliere, one of Courchevel 1850's five star boutique hotels the ski valet will make sure that all guests' skis and poles are ready to go, neatly laid out on the snow just outside the ski room door. The valets will even help you put your boots on and make sure you are strapped in tight before you descend the easy slope to the main lift stations and ski school meeting points at the Croisette.

There are plenty of purpose built ski resorts in France which offer easy piste access. However, the resort with the most ski in out hotels in France is Val Thorens. This is mainly due to the fact that Val Thorens was created relatively recently. Pierre Schnebelen, a visionary engineer, set out to create the new resort and he did so with ski convenience in mind. One of the more recent ski in ski out hotels in Val Thorens is the Koh-I Nor. Located at the peak of Val Thorens and offering direct access to the vast Three Valleys the Koh-I Nor is the highest 5 star hotel in Europe. Instantly recognisable from its diamond-shaped glass exterior this hotel has beautiful contemporary interiors and a packed activity programme for children. The hotel also has two excellent restaurants and a gorgeous 800 square metre spa - one of the best spas in the Alps.

Ski in ski out hotels in Austria

Another area which has an abundance of ski in ski out hotels is Oberlech. This enclave of luxury hotels and chalets sits at a snowy altitude of 1,660 metres (250 metres above the main resort village of Lech). In Oberlech most of the hotels are on the edge of the slope so guests can simply clip in and set off with ease. This is especially enjoyable after there has been an overnight snowfall as you will be amongst the first skiers in the morning to enjoy the fresh powder on the lovely runs leading down to the main lifts of Lech.

Ski in ski out hotels in Italy

In Italy there are a few purpose built resorts such as Cervinia, Setriere and Sauze d'Oulx which have plenty of ski in ski out hotels. There are, however, ski resorts in The Dolomiti Superski area that also offer plenty of ski in ski out accommodation. This is the largest ski area in Italy with 12 interlinked separate resorts, a mighty 1,220km of pistes and 450 lifts (and the occasional bus ride). Included on the same lift pass is the famous 'Sella Ronda' ski circuit which circumnavigates the vast Gruppo del Sella limestone massif. This impressive edifice is one of the most stunning backdrops in the world and with ski in ski out hotels in abundance, cheaper than average prices and some of the best mountain food in Europe this is definitely a ski destination to consider.

Ski in ski out hotels in Switzerland

In Switzerland ski in ski hotels are actually quite hard to find. Nearly all the resorts are traditional in nature and this coupled with local strict building regulations has very much restricted modern ski resort development. An exception to this rule is LAAX in the Graubünden region of Switzerland. With 29 lifts and gondolas and impressive snow-making facilities the pistes, including those on the 3,000 metre Vorab Glacier, are wide and varied. There are a couple of ski in ski out options in LAAX but the stand out choice is the new Rocks Resort which is located next to the base gondola. Built and managed by the Weisse Arena Group (who also own the ski area and lifts) it includes 160 well-designed self catering apartments spread across 11 buildings.

Whether you are looking for a five star luxury hotel for a two week stay or a cheap bed & breakfast property for a long weekend we can find the perfect ski in ski out hotel for your requirements.
