ABTA and ATOL bonding

Alpine Answers is a member of ABTA. We hold both an ABTA License (D4050 and W2153) and also hold an ATOL License (ATOL 4791) which is issued by the Civil Aviation Authority.

You can buy holidays from Alpine Answers in two ways:

A. Alpine Answers the agent: holidays provided by tour operators (holiday companies).
B. Alpine Answers the principal: tailor-made holidays where we are the tour operator.

A. Buying a holiday where Alpine Answers is the travel agent:

If you purchase a package holiday provided by a tour operator (holiday company) which includes a flight, then your money is protected under the ATOL licence held by that tour operator, and Alpine Answers is acting as an agent for that ATOL holder.

If you purchase a holiday from a tour operator that does not offer any form of financial security for its clients (ie holiday companies that do not include flights with their holidays) then we purchase an ABTA recommended insurance policy through IPP London that offers our clients financial cover up to £2,000 per person.

B. Buying a holiday where Alpine Answers is the principal:

When we create our own tailor-made package holiday (containing two or more items ‘packaged’ together) then you are protected by our ATOL (if the package includes air travel) or by ABTA, if it does not.

If you buy a holiday of just one item (ie accommodation only or transfer only) from Alpine Answers whereby we are acting as the principal (the tour operator) please note: neither ABTA nor ATOL protection applies to your booking.

Our membership of ABTA means that we maintain a high standard of service to you and abide by ABTA's Code of Conduct. For more information on ABTA, the Code and the arbitration scheme available to you if you have a complaint, visit www.abta.com.
