Chalet Petite Etoile has a fantastic location in the centre of Alpe d'Huez, 120 metres from the basket lift and just a stone's throw from the array of restaurants and bars. You could nip out for a new pair of goggles, head back to the chalet to pick up your skis and be whipping down the mountain before your friends staying elsewhere have even finished their breakfast! Chalet Petite Etoile is situated in the same building as its bigger sister chalet, Chalet Grande Etoile, so the two chalets can be booked together for larger parties of 19-20 people. Whilst the old stone walls remain to keep the traditional French chalet exterior, inside the chalet has been transformed. It has a beautiful, alpine style of decor but it is the great attention to detail and modern twists in the furnishings which add that extra level of comfort to the chalet. From the heated boot dryers and open-plan living area, to the inviting en-suite bedrooms, Chalet Petite Etoile boasts bags of Alpine charm. This lovely chalet also offers the flexibility of beds in rooms 1, 2 and 3 being either twins or king-sized doubles (please specify at the time of booking). Read more -

All the bedrooms are under the eaves and have skylight windows (two bedrooms more under the eaves than the others - there is a 50 gbp discount per person for these rooms). Guests can ski to within 150 metres of the chalet. Approximately 2 minutes' walk (200 metres) to the nearest ski lift and 5 minutes' walk to the 'Palais du Sport'. Boasting ski convenience, Chalet Naomi is situated in the Quartier des Bergers on the East side of Alpe d'Huez. The Alpauris chair is just 220 metres away (approximately) and for beginners the main ski school meeting point is just 200 metres away (approx.). Lastly, to make your ski holiday even easier and stress free, Les Bergers' small selection of shops and bars are only a short walk. This chalet apartment could hardly be in a better place. Chalet Naomi would not look out of place in a new adaptation of Heidi with its timber exterior and exposed aged wood finish throughout. This quaint charm has been paired with 21st century comforts, such as a sauna and heated boot racks, so you can live the rural chalet dream and enjoy modern day luxuries too. The large open-plan living/dining area is inviting, with enough space for all to relax in. It has serene southerly views of a nearby stream; open the window and you might hear the water running past. All bedrooms have the same rustic appeal and every room has its own bathroom. Read more -

Everything is within 150 metres (approx.) of this superbly located chalet. You can ski back within 150 metres, walk to the televillage gondola in 150 metres (which grants you access to the centre of Alpe d'Huez) and you can take advantage of the quaint bars and restaurants of Huez, which are, you've guessed it, a mere 150 metres away. Perfect. If you wanted to list all the things that make a great chalet, it may well read something like the description of Chalet Sarenne: close to skiing and slopes, huge terrace with outdoor hot tub and magnificent views, a tasteful combination of traditional wood and stone married with modern facilities such as floor-to-ceiling windows, very comfortable rooms with ample storage, sauna and steam room, relaxation area and the little extra that we all appreciate: heated boot racks. We recommend early booking. Please Note: Whilst it is not possible to walk to main resort of Alpe d'Huez, it is a short gondola ride away during the day or taxi ride away for those wanting to experience its nightlife.
