Overview
The Hotel Gruner Baum in Bad Gastein is not just a hotel but a complete village. Over a 70 acre site there are five different buildings offering a variety of experiences; the main house is perfect for devotees of traditional Austrian style. The Land House is good for families, The Lindy has self-catered apartments, Jager House contains the standard less expensive rooms, and Kossler House is ideal for guests keen to make use of the extensive spa facilities. However, what makes the Gruner Baum so special is its unaffected Austrian charm. The staff are never out of their Lederhosen, the main house still has its original Stube, and every detail from the pastries served in the afternoon by the fire to the exterior colour scheme, celebrates the traditions of Austria. There is also a lot to explore in and around the Hoteldorf Grüner Baum. Kids can enjoy the child care with an exciting program in summer and winter, have fun at the hotel's own ski school or explore the area on the back of a horse- while parents switch off at the Thermal Natural Spa or are on the slopes.
If you are after a traditional hotel with a warm, friendly and charming ambience then the Gruner Baum in Bad Gastein would be a very good choice.
