Chalet Schipfa

Chalet Schipfa in Zermatt is an authentic free-standing property with commanding views over the resort centre of Zermatt. Plenty of wood has been used inside and out during its construction and it exudes Swiss mountain charm. The large picture windows make the best of its position allowing lots of light to flood in, and guests to enjoy the spectacular elevated views.

There are four main guest bedrooms (3 x doubles and 1 x twin) and no less than three sun terraces.

Perched on the hill behind the church the main shopping street of Zermatt is only a few minutes' walk from the chalet. However, it should be noted that there is no lift or escalator to reach the chalet which is a 24m vertical climb (approximate equivalent of 8 storeys) along a 290 metre path from the main street level. The chalet is therefore not suited to the elderly (unless they are fit) nor to families with very young children.

The wood burning fireplace in the sitting room and the indoor sauna are the finishing touches to a charming chalet.
