This attractive traditional building lies in a quiet off-road location on the Winkelmatten side of the resort. The building is split into chalet apartments. Each chalet occupies its own separate floor and will be staffed and run individually by its own dedicated Chalet Host. The chalets are similarly styled, with comfy lounges opening onto a sunny balcony or terrace with fabulous views of the Matterhorn, and the owner plans minor refurbishments over the summer for your further comfort. Ski access couldnt be simpler, with the main Klein Matterhorn gondola only 300m walk away. At the end of the day, a piste leads back to the same place, where you can conveniently leave your skis and boots free of charge at a rental shop. The resort centre is an easy 10-13 minute walk along the river or via a cut-through path, or simply hop on the free elektro-bus from the Klein Matterhorn. This is a true 5-star catered chalet, now in its second season. It is probably the most luxurious chalet in Zermatt and is quite unique. Situated close to the main street and the Sunnegga Express lift station, The Lodge takes up the whole top floor (320 square meters) of a new chalet with an unmatched view over the rooftops dominated by the Matterhorn. There are five double bedrooms, four of which can be configured as twins. Every detail of the Lodge has been carefully thought through and meticulously finished, with wooden-beamed ceilings, aged wood floors and stylish yet cosy furniture giving a warm feeling of old-world charm with a crisp modern finish. The focal point of the spacious living rooms is a suspended wood-burning fireplace; adjoining it is a large dining room with a long table seating 12 comfortably. The kitchen is open-plan and professionally equipped; all these areas give onto a full-length south-facing balcony. Upon arrival in Zermatt, you will be met by the Lodge staff, who will have a Champagne reception waiting for you. A chalet-girl will clean and look after you every day, and a dedicated professional chef who will serve gourmet quality meals (English breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner) for six nights, accompanied by outstanding complimentary wines. The bar is open.
