The chalet, newly built in 2007 is named after the owner's mother who won the World Cup in 1969. The chalet holds her World Cup trophy along with other Olympic and World Cup memorabilia and photographs. It offers a mix of modern and traditional style over four floors with fabulous views over Rendl from every room. There are eight comfortable bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities and a lovely welcoming living area with deep sofas just inviting you to sit back and relax and enjoy the view through the vast picture windows. There is even the benefit of an open fireplace (rather rare in St Anton) providing a perfect focal point to relax before dinner with your apertif and canapes. A further highlight is the Wellness area with a sauna and an outdoor hot tub on the terrace, what better way to unwind after a great day on the slopes? Situated in the quiet Stadl area near, the chalet is conveniently located about 10 minutes walk down to the resort centre, lifts and slopes. To make life easier for you, guests can leave their ski equipment at one of the rental shop in the resort centre close to the Galzig lift (free if rented, otherwise small daily charge), the ski bus also stops very close by if you don't fancy the walk back to the chalet. The chalet is fantastic for friends, families or groups and is available to book by individuals as well as groups of 14 to 16 wanting sole occupancy, with the added advantage of single rooms if required. With 16 adults in the chalet, it will be a 'friendly squash' around the dining table so there generous discounts for the 15th or 16th guests staying here. Eisfall

    St Anton
    Austria
    Sleeps:

Chalet Eisfall is directly opposite the Nassereinbahn lift. Ski to the bottom of the piste, cross the road and you are in the chalet - accessing the skiing could hardly be easier. In the picturesque hamlet of Nasserein, the oldest part of St Anton, the Eisfall is a 10 minute stroll to the centre of this attractive resort and its lively bars and restaurants. A superbly located modern building, the Eisfall is in fact several apartments linked by a central staircase. All rooms are light and bright and as well as the convenience of a very high bathroom to bedroom ratio, there are separate living and dining rooms. Please note that the owner's son lives in an apartment on the first floor and uses the same entrance. • Adler1
Lodge Adler is one of the four Arlberg Lodges which were created when an old sawmill was converted in 2006. The long building was divided into four chalets: Adler, Bodensee, Christoph and Danube. While Lodge Adler sleeps 10 in great comfort and privacy, the layout of the building lends itself well to larger groups wanting to take more than one lodge - it can sleep up to 36 in en-suite accommodation and the shared balcony has an exterior fireplace where gluhwein and canapes can be served to larger groups. Lodge Adler has the largest bedrooms of the Arlberg Lodges and because it is situated on the valley end of the mill, it benefits from the best views of the valley and the Rendl mountain opposite. All four lodges are similar in style, characterised by deep rich colours and a contemporary style, but maintaining a traditional chalet feeling in the wooden beams and floors. The large en-suite bedrooms (25-35 m2) are on the ground and lower ground floors. Every bedroom is equipped with wide Austrian twin/double beds on polished wooden floors, and a flat screen TV with DVD player. Every room in Adler has a sofa or armchair making it comfortable to relax with a good book or DVD. Two of the rooms benefit from balconies with wonderful views across the valley. The bathrooms are spacious and beautifully decorated with modern Italian tiles. The baths and walk-in showers are huge, and the Zucchetti fittings lend a highly contemporary touch. Upstairs, the superbly comfortable open plan living space has vaulted ceilings, deep sofas and a blazing log fire to create a real chalet or log cabin atmosphere. The flat screen TV can be used to watch a film, UK satellite TV, the footage from the day's skiing or to play on the Xbox 360. There is also an iPad for guests use. Please note, the industrial kitchen (staff only) is shared with Lodge Bodensee and is locked at night and during the day when staff are not present. However, there is a fully stocked drinks fridge, two ring hob and tea and coffee making facilities for guests to use at any time. • Fauner1
Chalet Fauner is in an excellent location just 4 minutes walk downhill to the resort centre and the lifts yet in peaceful surroundings. Local Ski shop owner Alex Fauner and his family completely re-designed and rebuilt the chalet a few years ago and created two lovely chalets - the smaller 8 person property, Chalet Fauner B, and its big brother for up to 16 guests, Chalet Fauner A. The chalet is over two floors, on the lower floor is the open plan living/dining room with lovely views towards Rendle Mountain, opposite. There is a recessed dining area and comfortable sitting area with settees and tub chairs for relaxing, draw up a chair or two and its the perfect spot for your pre dinner aperitif and canapes! The en-suite bedrooms are all twins, modern and comfortable and most enjoy the views towards Rendle. The chalet also benefits from a sauna with power showers - perfect after a hard day on the slopes! Though it really isn't very far from the slopes, if the thought of the uphill walk back to the chalet at the end of the day doesn't appeal then you can always jump on the bus which stops virtually at the end of the drive (the circular bus route will be longer than the walk back though!). To make life easier you can always leave your ski equipment (at a nominal charge if not rented) at the Fauner Sport Shop close to the main lifts, if you don't want to carry it back to the ski room at the chalet. Please note that the owner lives in self contained apartment on top floor. Note 1 from Alpine Answers: For split chalet bookings whereby different parties share the chalet the tour operator running this chalet has a policy that allows children of any age to share the chalet with other guests for any week. We advise checking prior to booking the ages of other guests already booked into the chalet. However, we cannot guarantee that a party with young children will not book after you. Note 2 from Alpine Answers: The chalet staff are not qualified chefs but keen cooks with suitable experience, they work to a set chalet menu for the week and provide a vegetarian alternative for vegetarians or for guests that don't eat a particular evening's meat or fish dish. They obviously aim to please but at the same time they would expect a degree of compromise from any guests with specific dietary needs and requests whether by choice or for medical reasons (including for example, but not limited to - gluten free, dairy free or vegan). These guests should be happy to simply make the best of the chalet menu on offer and accept that the chalet staff will not be able to offer a completely alternative menu to suit their dietary requests. The chalet staff can get in touch the week before your arrival to discuss the menu and advise of things that you should bring. • Aitken1

    Aitken

    St Anton
    Austria
    Sleeps:
    8
The politician Max Aitken at one time owned this wonderful chalet. Although he was no Profumo and Chalet Aitken is no Cliveden it never the less has a grand air of slightly faded respectability. Built on three floors, the Aitken has wonderful views across to the Rendl ski area from most rooms and from both of the sunny, south-facing balconies. It has a spacious, yet cosy sitting/dining room with a vaulted carved wooden ceiling, log fire and TV. There is also a separate sauna, which comfortably takes five people. The bedrooms are attractive, comfortable and well fitted, with a good number of shower and bathrooms. The ski-bus stops right outside for easy access to and from the slopes, and St Antons fabled nightlife is just a 5-minute walk away. Please note that children under 13 years of age are not accepted into shared chalets outside of peak weeks (Christmas, New Year, Half Term and Easter) unless the party books the chalet for sole occupancy.
