The owners recently completely refurbished this charming chalet, with comfortable new fittings and furnishings throughout. The living areas are particularly light and airy, with attractive pale wood panelling, big windows and a double-height ceiling to the front of the chalet, and the sauna is an added bonus too. The La Turche button-lift is only approximately 4 - 5 minutes walk away, or given the convenience of leaving skis and boots at a local ski shop, many guests simply choose the 7 minute walk in comfy footwear into the village centre, pick up their skis there and head straight up one of the main Chavannes lifts. The village centre is also approximately 7 - 8 minutes walk. Please note that children under 13 years of age are not accepted into shared chalets outside of peak weeks (Christmas, New Year, Half Term and Easter) unless the party books the chalet for sole occupancy. FAMILY CHALET ONLY - can only be booked by parties that include children under 13 years of age. This is one of four apartment chalets in La Chaumiere. La Chaumiere is an attractive, classically Savoyarde building, previously run as a hotel by three generations of the Monnet family, but now converted into comfortable chalet apartments. Each is staffed and run individually, but shares child care rooms, sauna and ski storage. There are stylish, comfortable interiors, with open-plan living/dining areas, a fireplace in each chalet and comfortable family bedrooms with plenty of bath and shower rooms. In a quiet cul-de-sac just off the village centre, the location is ideal for families. There is a footpath to the Mont Chery lift avoiding the village centre altogether, and from there you can also catch the resort?s mini-train shuttle to the Chavannes lift across the village. The Chalet apartment Delavay has been constructed in a traditional alpine style and is situated right in the centre of the village across the road from the main lifts. The top floor and part of the second floor have been superbly converted to specific requirements offering four en-suite bedrooms, a spacious living/dining room with open log fire leading onto a large balcony with stunning views of the surrounding areas. This chalet also has 2 apartments with two bedrooms in each ideally suited for families. Delavay Sports ski hire shop is located on the ground floor and offers free ski storage even if you have your own equipment. The Chalet Monet is conveniently located right in the heart of the resort, with a superb range of facilities. The living areas are spacious and well designed, with a spacious separate lounge with small kitchenette area, ideal for afternoon tea, plus a further, separate home-cinema lounge available, so don't forget your favourite DVDs! Bedrooms here all offer private en-suite bath or shower and wc, and many also have a balcony, as does the attractive dining-room. The Monet also boasts its own sauna, and further apres ski relaxation in the hot-tub on the terrace. The main Chavanne ski lifts and piste and the delightful village centre are only approximately 3 minutes walk away, and at the end of the day you can ski back to the same point.
