This is without doubt the most spectacular property in Zermatt, if not the Alps. A huge 240 square metre Manhattan style loft set in a wooden chalet in the Swiss Alps; it combines acres of glass, steel, textured concrete and wood in a unique symphony of fusion architecture created by local star designer Heinz Julen. The Loft was Heinz's private home where he hosted many rock-star parties. We are honoured to market this property. Access is a 2 minute walk from the top of the Omnia Hotel lifts, for which you will have a special key. The village end of the lift delivers you to the heart of Zermatt, in the main street close to the church. The sense of space, light and closeness to nature that the Loft provides is unparalleled: there are no barriers between the nature outside and the home space inside - all is fluid and free. On the two sides overlooking the village, the walls consist of floor to ceiling glass, with French windows 6 metres high leading to a large terrace. (There is a white electric exterior curtain that can wrap itself around all that glass if need be). The ceiling is supported by seven columns, while the glass walls have an inset fireplace and three alcoves. The main loft living area has a suspended and illuminated table which can be raised and lowered from coffee table, to dining table, to ceiling height; the latter creating a large party space. In one corner you can play on a baby grand Steinway piano, while in another you can sink into a large sofa and gaze simultaneously at the stunning view over the village and at the crackling fireplace set into the glass wall. Around you: two desks, jack-in-the-box armchairs, a wall of art, and a signature Heinz Julen chandelier. In fact, all the sought-after furniture in the Loft is designed by Heinz. From this level a metal staircase leads up to the mezzanine, which has another sofa chill-out area with TV; a free standing Jacuzzi bath, a cosy dining alcove, a galley kitchen (with cupboard handles made out of bent soup spoons), a cantilevered bar area and a guest toilet. As you walk on this floor you will notice that the floating feeling it creates is due to it being made entirely of opaque glass with subtle inset lighting. Overlooking the main loft area, there are two double en-suite bedrooms, one above the other. Each bedroom has its own small bathroom with shower and WC, and a balcony. The third, master bedroom is very private with its own landing. It is an exact replica of the famous Into the Hotel suites created by Heinz Julen, featuring a free-standing bath with wood-slatted massage cover, an island bed on a rotating floor, his and her bedroom sinks, a seperate shower room and WC, a walk-in wardrobe, a sofa, and a TV set into the glass window. Nestled in the Belvedere area of Courchevel 1650, surrounded by trees and exquisite mountain views, the chalet is a haven of tranquility. There are beautiful mountain trails and cross country pistes literally on you door step, the Granges Teleski (drag lift) is a short slide away, and at the end of the day you can ski straight to the door. The third suite can either be a Kingsize double or twin and has 2 extra day beds which can be used for children and the remaining two bedrooms can either be made up as Queensize doubles or twins. Each bedroom has an individual 'mountain' theme. Bathrobes, towels, slippers, hairdryers and L'Occitane bath products are supplied in each bathroom. The large, open plan sitting room has a traditional log fire and the bespoke dining table commands centre stage in the dining area. On the lower ground floor there is a TV room with Satellite TV, PC with complimentary Broadband internet access and a large ski room with boot warmer and drying facilities. Airport transfers can be arranged at cost and there's a complimentary intra-resort service between 8am and 10pm. Chalet Bear is one of the last remaining log chalets remaining in Klosters. Lovingly restored in 2005 it now provides every modern convenience within its traditional Swiss Alpine chalet structure and offers 285 square metres of living space. Chalet Bear is within walking distance of the lifts and centre of the village. It is situated up a little rise providing sensational views across the valley. It has four floors and sleeps up to eight guests in four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. All the rooms have been beautifully and sympathetically decorated to provide a sumptuous environment, fully in keeping with the warm character of this exceptional Alpine home. On the ground floor is a large dining room, with a new kitchen conveniently located at one end. There is a long table here, which comfortably seats 16 in front of a large open fireplace. It's a delightful environment for either long social dinners or easy family suppers. The utility rooms, including a guests' loo, are situated to the right of the staircase. To the left of the staircase is a double bedroom with en suite bathroom. This floor has been designed for full wheelchair access. The main entrance to the chalet accesses the first floor. An entry lobby accommodates ski gear. To the right is a terrace, running the whole width of the house. The first floor is centred round the main sitting room with its large, open, wood-burning fireplace. It is classically and very comfortably furnished providing a welcoming and peaceful atmosphere. Views from all sides are superb. Adjoining it is a fully equipped TV/audio/study room, which can also be used as an extension to the sitting room area when entertaining. There is also a small bar room with sink, dishwasher, fridge and glass storage. There are two bedrooms on the second floor, each with its own bathroom, one en-suite. Views and atmosphere in both rooms are exceptional. Both rooms are wood panelled. State of the art bathrooms have under-floor heating and large baths. The top floor comprises a large en-suite, double bedroom and a bath/shower room. Exposed beam ceilings and an open fire give the room a very special atmosphere. Chalet Bear is one of the most exceptional properties in Klosters, painstakingly restored and equipped by its English owner over the summer of 2006. Chalet Trois Ours is a fabulous new build located bang on the slopes of Meribel, below the Rond Point, and opposite the Adret chairlift. It's a 2 minute walk to Le Plateau where there are a few specialist shops and one of the best restaurants in Meribel - Le Cro Magnon. Here you can also take the short 7 minute bus ride into the centre of Meribel. There is no doubt that it is one of the best located chalets in Meribel if you are looking for a 'ski in-ski out' position. This newly but traditionally decorated chalet has that true alpine feel, it comfortably sleeps 10 people in 5 double bedrooms (all en-suite). The chalet is laid out on 4 floors with 4 of the gorgeous bedrooms, on the top floor. The ground floor holds the large open plan dining area and living room with a large stone fireplace and luxurious sofas you can sink into. As you continue downstairs you get to the heated boot room which leads out to the Jacuzzi on the balcony and also to the piste. This is an easy blue run that leads down to the main lift hub at Chaudanne. There is also another bedroom with en-suite facilities on this floor. Down one more floor and there's the cinema room with large and comfortable sofas, and onwards is the gym room with adjacent steam room and shower room. Hearty breakfast and afternoon tea are served daily. Champagnes with canapes and a four course dinner with fine wines (chosen to match the menu) are served 6 nights a week. All food is prepared by your own fully qualified chef. A Mid-week towel change is also included. The staff are there to reduce your hassle on holiday so you can truly relax and maximise your time on the slopes. Chalet Marie is one of the four 'Sisters' named after the owner's daughters. These luxury chalets are situated in a beautiful and quiet street on the estate of Les Fermes de Val in Val d'Isere.
