Located in Meribel's exclusive village, Chalet Infusion is one of the most luxurious chalets in the area. One of the few recipients of the Meribel Tourist Office's 5 star Label Meribel award, Chalet Infusion is located just 200m from the village's bars and restaurants as well as the Telesiege du Golf chairlift which connects to the Altiport and from there the entire Three Valleys network. The piste that returns skiers to the village is replete with snow canons ensuring season-round access and should you want to ski back to the chalet a short detour through the trees from the piste brings you back to the terrace or front door. Built on three stories, Chalet Infusion is a typical Savoyarde property and features five ensuite bedrooms, four of which have balconies overlooking the mountains. Each is furnished in different fabrics, textures and antique furniture and four of the five bedrooms can be made into either a double or a twin and four are suitable for the inclusion of cots. The south-facing sitting room is at the heart of the chalet and features large, squashy sofas, a roaring log fire, HD satellite & terrestrial television, DVD, video, music and i-Pod systems and floor-to-ceiling windows with views stretching across to the Olympe chairlift and the 1992 Olympics women's downhill run. The adjacent dining room features a beautiful oak Tuscany table and French windows which open on to a very private sun deck. An expansive terrace, running round most of the chalet, features a Jacuzzi, Sauna, outdoor table and chairs, sun-loungers, outdoor heaters, table tennis, pool table, darts board, exterior music system and a fully stocked bar. There is a study area equipped with telephone, fax, computer, broadband and wireless Internet access and on the ground floor a laundry room, heated ski and boot room, on-site private parking and an ensuite massage room which can also be used as an extra ensuite bedroom for larger groups at a supplementary charge. Eagles Nest revolutionised the chalet skiing holiday when it offered the first indoor swimming pool in a private chalet in 2002. As you arrive you are greeted by the bronze eagle, nearly 3 metres high and sculpted by Livio Benedetti who created the "Dame du Lac" you pass on the way to Val d'Isere. The chalet's position, atop a rock with incredible views over Val d'Isere, and in the private estate, simply cannot be rivalled. The famous La Face piste is at the end of the road, making Eagles Nest accessible on skis. Inside, beneath the surface of a beautiful, traditional alpine chalet is a super high tech property boasting a steam room, sauna, jetstream, Sonos integrated music system, flat screens and Playstation 3s in the bedrooms, and an outdoor hot tub. Chalet Eagles Nest is spread over four floors. At the top, the spacious living room is ideal for large groups and has vaulted ceilings, ample sofa space, a log fireplace and large sunny balconies. There is a separate mezzanine with flat screen and games consoles. On the ground floor is a small double room and the master suite which has outstanding views on two sides, a dressing room and wonderful bathroom decorated with Italian tiles. Descend another level and there are four double bedrooms all of which qualify as suites, also there is a single bedroom. All are beautifully furnished and en-suite. On the bottom floor, the fabulous Wellness area has wonderful views and integrated music. You can swim against the jetstream in the swimming pool; the sauna and steam room are perfect for soothing aching legs after skiing. Perhaps the best thing about Eagles Nest though is the authenticity. You need not be an expert in Savoyard antiques (although it helps) to see that the chalet is tastefully and beautifully decorated throughout. The chalet is constructed from antique timbers and every piece of furniture and every painting has been carefully selected for it's alpine heritage, true to the roots of the quiet farming village of Val d'Isere. Unfortunately we only go up to 5 stars with our rating system. This property probably merits 8 stars just to give you an idea of the opulence and luxury you can expect. Mind you, there is an 8 star price tag to match. Chalet Bear is one of the last remaining log chalets remaining in Klosters. Lovingly restored in 2005 it now provides every modern convenience within its traditional Swiss Alpine chalet structure and offers 285 square metres of living space. Chalet Bear is within walking distance of the lifts and centre of the village. It is situated up a little rise providing sensational views across the valley. It has four floors and sleeps up to eight guests in four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. All the rooms have been beautifully and sympathetically decorated to provide a sumptuous environment, fully in keeping with the warm character of this exceptional Alpine home. On the ground floor is a large dining room, with a new kitchen conveniently located at one end. There is a long table here, which comfortably seats 16 in front of a large open fireplace. It's a delightful environment for either long social dinners or easy family suppers. The utility rooms, including a guests' loo, are situated to the right of the staircase. To the left of the staircase is a double bedroom with en suite bathroom. This floor has been designed for full wheelchair access. The main entrance to the chalet accesses the first floor. An entry lobby accommodates ski gear. To the right is a terrace, running the whole width of the house. The first floor is centred round the main sitting room with its large, open, wood-burning fireplace. It is classically and very comfortably furnished providing a welcoming and peaceful atmosphere. Views from all sides are superb. Adjoining it is a fully equipped TV/audio/study room, which can also be used as an extension to the sitting room area when entertaining. There is also a small bar room with sink, dishwasher, fridge and glass storage. There are two bedrooms on the second floor, each with its own bathroom, one en-suite. Views and atmosphere in both rooms are exceptional. Both rooms are wood panelled. State of the art bathrooms have under-floor heating and large baths. The top floor comprises a large en-suite, double bedroom and a bath/shower room. Exposed beam ceilings and an open fire give the room a very special atmosphere. Chalet Bear is one of the most exceptional properties in Klosters, painstakingly restored and equipped by its English owner over the summer of 2006. It is pristine and will be appreciated by those looking for a cosy, high quality, and sensitively designed, private family home. This is not a typical holiday let.
