Zurs is a very upmarket resort, with hotels no less than 3 stars, but the majority of them being 4 and 5 stars. Zurs is linked with the resort of Lech and both of them form part of the Arlberg ski region. Snow is usually guaranteed in this resort which is good for beginners and intermediates, but doesn't offer too much for the advanced skier or boarder, although there is some great steep and deep off piste to be found, and it is also possible to go heliskiing. The village is very purpose built, and not the prettiest, and of the mountain there isn't very much to entertain you. There are 7 bars in Zurs but the atmosphere and quality of these places makes up for the lack in option. For a bit of history and knowledge, Zurs was the first resort in Austria to have the first recognisable ski lift built.

Resort Restaurants
Zurs has one of the highest percentage of internationally recognised gourmet restaurants than any other resorts, with three listed in the top international guides. The most popular being the Chesa Verde, Hirlanda, Zurserhof and Lorunser. For a cosy atmosphere Toni's Einkehr which provides excellent fondues and Austrian dishes. Authentic Italian is served at the Walsersube in the Zurs ski Hotel Alberghaus. The Zurserhof Hotel Restaurant claims to have the whole world for dinner serving five courses of international cuisine. Or alternatively there traditional Austrian Schweizerhaus restaurant.
Mountain Restaurants
Located at the top of the Zugerberg chairlift away from the ski hotels in Zurs, is the Balmap mountain rstaurant. A table service restaurant and a self-service section offering the usual range of mountain food from snacks to big lunches. Views are impressive from this contemporary alpine construction. Alternatively, located halfway up the Schlegelkopf sector, directly above the village is the Rud Alp. A really charming and recently restored mountain hut with several small dining rooms. The best place to enjoy lunch on a clear day is on the fantastic suntrap terrace, where many while away an afternoon topping up their tans.
Apres Ski
Aside from your ski hotel, Zurs showcases the popular Bergwerk Bar to kick off the apres ski action at 4pm everyday with music and cocktails. Then head to Vernissage in Skiclub Alpenrose, the bar Hirlanda and Kaminstuble in the Schweizerhaus are all popular apres venues for a glass of Stiegl beer.
Nightlife
Most of the choices have a cosmopolitan air, in keeping with Zurs clientele and most are part of the large hotels, such as the Vernissage bar gallery, popular cocktail bar and also the busiest nightclub in resort. Rapidly becoming a great place to be seen and frequented quite often by celebrities. A nice big bar and a good range of music played by several good DJs. The house speciality is a Testa Rossa (Sekt with raspberry puree). Having a cocktail in the Rufilbahn II cable car ascent is an experience not to be missed and if you're on the invitation list there are plenty evening balls and gala dinners to attend. The most popular discotheque is the Zurserl Pleasure Lounge in the Sporthotel Edelweis, locally renowned as THE Arlberg nightspot. For those just looking to get a taste of the nightlife outside their ski hotel, Zurs offers the Hirlanda Bar, a locals favorite. It has a great atmosphere, good service and tasty bar snacks, or Thurnhers Alpenhof Pianobar for a quiet relaxing drink.
