Ski chalets Meribel Village France
Quiet and charming ski village linking to Meribel and the Three Valleys ski area
Chalets Meribel Village, ski holidays Meribel Village, ski holidays Trois Valleys
Meribel Village should not be confused with Meribel, Meribel Les Allues or Meribel Mottaret as all four are quite distinct places with their own characters. Meribel Village really came into its own with the opening of the new quad chair lift linking it directly to the vast Three Valleys system taking the old quaint village into a ski resort of its own standing. MGM built some smart self catering properties and luxury chalet developers made use of the cheaper land to build some outstanding chalets. Today the village is a mixture of old and modern and offers residents the chance to escape the British mob in Meribel and still access the superb skiing. The nightlife is pretty quiet by Meribel's standards but staying here makes a good option for a family holiday.

The rustic and traditional Savoyard food in the Le Boa Mil is just the ticket if you enjoy a good fondue or a hearty onion soup. Not only that, their serving sizes are more than generous, so be sure to only order one course! Just a stone's throw from the centre of town, this quaint eatery is located in a unique building set in the cellar of an old ski chalet. Meribel Village also has a number of other fine dining establishments, including Le Plantain which has been completely rebuilt in an original mountain style using traditional wood and stone. Contrary to many restaurants, Le Plantain has an interesting and contemporary menu offering alternatives to the usual Savoyard style food.
