Ski chalets La Tania France
Purpose built resort with good value accommodation in the Three Valleys ski area
Chalets La Tania, hotels La Tania, ski holidays La Tania, ski holidays Three Valleys
La Tania is a good value, small, traffic free, family-friendly resort with easy access to the Three Valleys. Just 2 lifts are needed to get to either the slopes of Meribel or Courchevel. The resort is attractive with traditional alpine style chalets set among the trees, most with good views. There are a few shops but not a great choice of restaurants or bars. Not a great resort for the expert skier, however it is quick to access the rest of the Three Valleys. There are two lovely intermediate runs back into the village and a good beginner area and lift in the village. Later in the season the run back down to the village can be a bit sketchy and you may have to take the gondola down.
La Tania was built for the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics and all the buildings have built in a traditional alpine style. Most of the accommodation is chalets but there are a few apartments and a couple of hotels. The chalets, being fairly modern are mainly of a pretty good standard and are nice and spacious.

Resort Restaurants
Le Ski Lodge is a good spot for lunch or dinner for burgers, jacket potatoes etc and is pretty reasonable. For more traditional Savoyarde fare the Ferme de La Tania gets good reports. The Marmottons is recommended for its tartiflette and the Telemark has been reported to having a very good new restaurant. The Farcon some consider to be a bit over-priced for what it offers. The Chanterelles on the other hand has a good reputation for crepes and pizzas at very good prices, as does the Taiga.
Mountain Restaurants
There are two restaurants immediately above La Tania but the restaurants in the Courchevel and Meribel valleys can be accessed pretty easily. The Bouc Blanc is near the top of the La Tania gondola and provides good food with a friendly table-service either inside or on the big outside terrace. The Roc Tania, higher up the mountain, is tiny but very pretty - a good spot to stop for a coffee.
Apres Ski
Le Ski Lodge is a firm favourite for apres-ski with live music some evenings and happy hour prices for when the lifts shut. The French run L'Arbatt is also a popular destination as the slopes close, right in the centre of the village. La Tania is generally quite quiet for the apres ski, with these exceptions.
Nightlife
Once again the British run Ski Lodge is a popular night-time destination, with a very lively atmosphere and live bands playing all the popular covers. However the Telemark has some 'civilised' live music. For cocktails the Taiga is a smart destination or the Hotel Montana bar is a good option for a quiet drink. In general nightlife is fairly quiet in La Tania, but it is possible to take taxis to Meribel and Courchevel for a bit more nightlife action.

Ski Hire Shops
| Location | Name | Stars | Discount | Promo Code |

The star rating for the ski hire shops is an indication of the level of service; quality and variety of stock, and the space and decor of the shop. It is also a reflection on the price. A five star rated shop will offer great service and equipment but also will charge the highest price. Ski hire shops with a two star rating have less variety and older, poorer quality of stock but are cheapest.
