Ski chalets Arc 2000 France
Modern ski in ski out resort with large accommodation blocks. Snow sure and very practical
Chalets Les Arcs, hotels Les Arcs, ski holidays Les Arcs, ski holidays Paradiski
Arc 2000 consists of little more than large self catering accommodation blocks with swooping roof lines and surrounding snow and rock. Over recent years though catered chalets have been built also. Situated just above Arc 1950 it is a little on the edge of the Les Arcs ski area but at 2,000 metres altitude few resorts offer such easy access to high, snow sure skiing. The skiing is also mainly North facing in this part of the ski domain and gives expert skiers the best possible off-piste conditions. The epic 7 kms run down from Aiguille Rouge to Villaroger is an East facing adventure of some two thousand vertical metres. This is easily accessible from Arc 2000. And if you fancy a spot of speed skiing the lower half the same mountain back down to Arc 2000 is dedicated to this practice. A small fee includes helmet, goggles and long skis but does not include the also required courage to give it a go!

Resort Restaurants
Generally the resorts of Les Arcs have very little in the way of restaurant choices, though there are some hidden away gems, for Savoie specialities, the Chez Eux in Arc 2000, is a well kept secret.
Mountain Restaurants
Like most large puropse built resorts, there is plenty of choice, though the mountain resaurants in Les Arcs can be quite unremarkable but are fine for a quick spot of lunch on the go and most have great views over the valley from their terraces. If you are after something a bit more flavoursome and charming, then it is best to head towards the lower villages. On the Vallandry side, a short taxi ride will bring you to the Ancolie, a traditional auberge with fantastic food, you will need to book ahead as it is quite small, or towards Le Pre, try the Belliou La Fumee at Pre-St-Esprit, The Ferme or the Aiguille Rouge are all friendly with very good food.
Apres Ski
In Arc 2000 there is The Tavern or the Red Rock.

The star rating for the ski hire shops is an indication of the level of service; quality and variety of stock, and the space and decor of the shop. It is also a reflection on the price. A five star rated shop will offer great service and equipment but also will charge the highest price. Ski hire shops with a two star rating have less variety and older, poorer quality of stock but are cheapest.
