Chardonnet (sleeps 16) Meribel

Our Verdict
Newly built, smart, comfortable and tastefully furnished.

The Chardonnet is a handsome, traditional wooden-style chalet that offers guests a high level of comfort. There is a spacious living / dining room with a fireplace, balcony and super views across the valley. It is located in the Mussillon area of the resort a short walk from the centre. The free bus stops very close to the chalet.

Please note that we do not know the position of this property and have estimated its location based on the description above.

Please note that children under 12 years of age cannot be booked into this property unless one party take the chalet for sole use.

Comments

Please note that the comments made by our clients below are not endorsed by Alpine Answers. However, we include them (both good and bad) to help make your choice of property more informed. We have passed on any negative comment made to the holiday company concerned and hope that most, if not all, issues have been addressed for any future clients.

The chalet was good. However, the real problem were the (15) steps up to the chalet which were not mentioned in the brochure nor by Alpine Answers. No salting or gravelling was done. Getting over 45 pieces of luggage up icy steps was ridiculous and the steps were very dangerous. Getting up and down the steps at the best of times was a chore enough! Meribel was a great place - the best resort I have been to.

The star rating for the ski hire shops is an indication of the level of service; quality and variety of stock, and the space and decor of the shop. It is also a reflection on the price. A five star rated shop will offer great service and equipment but also will charge the highest price. Ski hire shops with a two star rating have less variety and older, poorer quality of stock but are cheapest.
